Benjamin Pfeifer, Ph.D.
If you are struggling with any of the following, you may be suffering from depression:
Sad or low mood
Loss of interest or pleasure in your usual activities
Feeling empty inside
Loss of confidence in yourself
Difficulty concentrating
Dwelling on past regrets
Changes in your sleep or appetite
Disconnecting from the people and things you value most
Depression can be like a fog - it clouds our vision and confuses us about where we're going in life. It can make us feel like we've lost our way, and it can make us doubt whether we'll be able to find the way back.
I can help you cut through that fog, reconnect with your values, and regain a sense of confidence, purpose, and direction.
Through cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), you can learn practical, evidence-based strategies to (1) become more aware of the ways depression affects your daily life, (2) figure out the useful things your depression might be trying to tell you, and (3) blaze a new trail toward the life you want to be living.
About Me:
I am a licensed clinical psychologist and a depression treatment specialist. I have 7+ years of therapy experience, and I've also published original research on the nature and treatment of depression, which deeply informs my practice.
I received my Ph.D. from The Ohio State University, completed a fellowship in the Michigan Medicine/VA Ann Arbor Postdoctoral Consortium, and served as Team Leader for the Mental Health Clinic at the Toledo VA.
I have experience working with adults from many backgrounds, and I have especially enjoyed my work with military veterans, high-performers in professional or academic settings, and those who value a religious, spiritual, or philosophical approach to life.
If any of this struck a chord with you, let’s chat. Schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation, or give me a call today to see if we might be a good fit to work together.
